Description

This 300mm (12 Inches) head is designed to fit onto the Rodtech Buttonlok rod system to allow you to do the day to day cleaning of the smaller flues seemingly effortlessly, yet producing one of the cleanest results possible. The design has a unique feature in that it can fit through a narrow gap such as bolted in throat-plates and dampers, which have been fitted in stoves and flues sometimes without sweeping access points. It also can fit through most firebox openings without the need to remove the plate. This excellent Whip/brush has been designed to clean flues from 100mm to 200mm (5 to 8 Inches). The heads contain nylon which aids the sweeping of chimneys cleanly. They are six-sided strands that generate flat sides to enhance the cleaning process. As the heads can turn clockwise and anti-clockwise, they can cover small chimneys with ease. The nylon strands are very simple to replace, so the heads can be used for years to come, making them far more cost-effective than their traditional brush equivalents.

Furthermore, you only require a small selection of heads to cover most of your day to day cleaning needs saving you both space and time in choosing the right brush for the job. You no longer need to carry the vast range of brushes required by the old fashioned hand sweeping method. They also have the advantage of expanding to fit the chimney through centrifugal force, ensuring the head stays centralised to the flue and gives a far more extensive field of contact than the old brush system it replaces. In Flues greater than 450mm (18 inches), it is advisable to use the 900mm Super Scrub. If the flue you are sweeping is rectangular, you must ensure that you use one direction going up the flue and the reverse on its descent (clockwise/anticlockwise). You may also have to repeat this process a couple of times to ensure the best clean a large flue can ever get.

The speed of the drill determines the force generated to clean the chimney. It is always advised to use low speeds in pre-1966 chimneys and always use battery power tools to safeguard yourself—our Rodtech Buttonlok products with a 12-month replacement warranty. The warranty covers all Non-wearable parts and joints on our Rodtech Buttonlok range. It does NOT cover misuse of equipment or when the equipment is used with the tile breakers.
